Today, on the third day of Pride Week, a performance titled “Masks” will take place at Independence Square, drawing attention to the consequences of transphobia and honoring its victims. The rights of trans individuals in the community are recognized by the members of the Gender Equality Committee as the most vulnerable when it comes to the adoption and implementation of laws. Therefore, today is an opportunity for decision-makers to actively engage and offer support to the trans community in Montenegro.

We remind that the support of decision-makers and other social actors is always significant and always appreciated by the community. This support is expressed, among other things, through clear backing of activities organized by the LGBTIQ community, participating in Montenegro Pride, and the everyday implementation of legal frameworks that respect human rights, as emphasized by our colleague from the NGO Juventas during the meeting of the Gender Equality Committee, held as part of Pride Week on November 12.

The performance is organized by the Spectrum Association at 12:00 PM at Independence Square.
